Theological training

According to art. 18 of the Church Order the FRCSA are responsible for the training of ministers of the Word. This is done by intensively coaching theological students, both academically and spiritually. The churches have jointly compiled a document named Outcomes for Theological Training, in which the personal and academic competencies a theological student has to attain are outlined, before he can be accepted as minister of the Word in the churches. The FRCSA are currently making use of the following theological seminaries: Mukhanyo Theological College in KwaMhlanga (Mpumalanga); George Whitefield College in Muizenberg (Western Cape); Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary in Hamilton (Canada). For the coaching and mentoring of theological students as well as the ongoing training of minister the churches have appointed curators.
